From Corvara in Badia a beautiful hike leads to the Pralongia, which is called the "amphitheater of the Dolomites" because of its panoramic position. Along the way, four alpine cabins invite you to enjoy gastronomic moments: the mountain hut La Marmotta, the Pralongia moutain hut, the Bioc moutain hut and the Piz Arlara restaurant.
Route description Pralongia in Badia
The hike to the Pralongia starts at the valley station of the Pralongia chairlift in Planac above Corvara.
To the right of the chairlift, the wide hiking trail no. 26 branches off in the direction of Cherz/Pralongia, which soon turns into the now quite steep hiking trail no. 25. It climbs over the ski slope, which is deserted in summer, and shortly afterwards joins the wide hiking trail no. 24.
This path winds its way gently up to the idyllic mountain hut La Marmotta. With a view of the Dolomite mountains opposite, such as the Piz Boe or the Sassongher peak, it tempts you to take an enjoyable break before the hike continues in the direction of Pralongia.
After another half hour of leisurely hiking, you reach the popular Pralongia moutain hut, the highest point of the hike.
From the inviting inn, hiking trail no. 23 continues through the gently rolling flower meadows of the Pralongia to the idyllic Bioc moutain hut and to the Piz Arlara restaurant, behind which trail no. 30 descends to the starting point in Corvara in Badia - Planac.
