The hike to the Jimmy mountain hut starts on the 2.120 m high Gardena pass, which connects the Gardena valley with the Val Badia valley.

A little below the pass, on the Val Badia valley side, hiking trail no. 2 branches off to the Jimmy mountain hut. It climbs gently through mountain-framed meadows against the backdrop of the craggy Cir peaks.

After 20 minutes of leisurely hiking, you reach the idyllically situated Jimmy mountain hut, on whose panoramic terrace the massive rock faces of the Sella massif seem close enough to touch.
