Route description Averau moutain hut and Scoiattoli moutain hut
The starting point is the large car park on Col Gallina, south of the Falzarego pass.
Following path number 419 in the direction of lago di Limides, the trail initially climbs gently through woods and panoramic meadows to this idyllic mountain lake situated at the foot of Croda Negra. In its clear waters, shimmering in different colors depending on the time of day, the surroundings are reflected.
In front of the imposing backdrop of the Croda Negra, the Averau and the Tofana di Rozes, the path, which is now partly interspersed with stones and rocks, winds its way up the somewhat steeper ascent through the mountain meadows, which are rich in views. An amazing variety of delicate alpine flowers thrives in them.
Shortly before the forcella Averau, the hike changes to trail no. 441, which climbs to the nearby forcella. At the top, a breathtakingly beautiful view of Pelmo, monte Civetta and passo Giau unfolds.
In front of this dreamy backdrop, the narrow path winds along the steep rock faces of the Averau in gentle ups and downs to the multi-award-winning Averau moutain hut. On the panoramic terrace and in the cozy parlor, hikers are served exquisite, creatively refined dishes that are not only pleasing to the palate.
From the Averau mountain hut, the wide hiking trail no. 439 descends to the nearby Scoiattoli mountain hut, located at the foot of the Cinque Torri, which is also very popular.
Near the Scoiattoli moutain hut, hiking path no. 440, which is partly rocky and rocky, branches off in the direction of Pian dei Menis. It leads in a partly gentle, partly somewhat steeper descent through flowery meadows and wooded slopes and opens up dreamy views of the dolomites towering all around.
From the colorful flower meadows of the Pian dei Men is, trail no. 424 finally climbs gently to the now nearby starting point on Col Gallina.
