The hike to Glatsch Alm mountain hut starts at the car park Zannes at the end of the valley in Val di Funes, where you have to pay a fee.
Following path number 36 in the direction of the Glatsch Alm mountain hut, the wide hiking trail winds its way gently up through the forest, which finally offers beautiful views of the Furchetta and the Sas Rigais.
After about 50 minutes of leisurely hiking, the Glatsch Alm mountain hut presents itself in the middle of a mountain meadow surrounded by alpine pines and spruces. Most impressive, however, may be the view of the nearby rock faces of the Geisler peaks, which now show themselves in their full glory.
To accompany this dreamy view, the friendly innkeepers serve their guests traditional hut dishes with a touch of mediterranean lightness. While the adults sit back and relax and enjoy the unique atmosphere of Val di Funes, the children can let off steam in the small playground or on the wide alpine meadows.
The way back from Glatsch Alm mountain hut is the same as the way there. Alternatively, you can extend the hike to a slightly longer circular hike passing by the Dusler Alm mountain hut.
