In the midst of the jagged Cadini di Misurina lies the inviting mountain hut Città di Carpi. At an altitude of 2,130 m, the hut hosts invite you to enjoy a stop in summer and winter against the picturesque backdrop of the towering dolomites.

The hike to Città di Carpi mountain hut starts at the idyllic Misurina lake in the province of Belluno, which is also called the "Pearl of Cadore" because of its clear water and picturesque scenery. At the southern end of the idyllic Misurina lake, the Col de Varda car park has some parking facilities.
This is also the starting point of the wide hiking trail no. 120 in the direction of Col de Varda / Città di Carpi, which climbs in numerous hairpin bends through the sparse forest.
Near the timberline, the mountain trail descends slightly at the foot of the craggy Cadini di Misurina, to finally climb again to Città di Carpi mountain hut. Especially during this last section of the hike, breathtakingly beautiful views of the legendary Sorapis and Marmarole mountains open up.
At an altitude of 2,130 m, the sun-drenched Città di Carpi mountain hut finally invites you to enjoy some delightful moments in front of a dreamy backdrop.
The return from the rifugio Citta di Carpi mountian hut is the same as the outward route, which now offers dreamy views of the 3,221 m high monte Cristallo.

As an alternative to the route suggested here, it is possible to go up from Misurina lake with the Col de Varda chairlift at 2,115 m, avoiding most of the climb. From the chairlift, a path leads down along the ski slope and eventually joins hiking trail no. 120 described above.

Misurina lake, which is up to five meters deep, and its immediate surroundings are also known for their mild, healing climate, which alleviates respiratory diseases. For this reason, a treatment center for children suffering from asthma has been built on the southern shore of Misurina lake.
