Punta Larici hike
Hiking from Pregasina to Punta Larici on lake Garda
The Punta Larici near Pregasina surprises with a breathtaking view of lake Garda and the surrounding towns, villages and hills, of which Torbole, Malcesine, Limone, Monte Altissimo and Monte Baldo in particular stand out.
Route description Punta Larici
The hike to Punta Larici begins in the dreamy village of Pregasina, located above Riva del Garda. Below the village church of St. George there are some parking possibilities.
Behind the popular Panorama restaurant, a hiking sign points out the approximately one-hour climb to Punta Larici, marked with the number 422B. The wide path winds pleasantly up the wooded slopes, opening up beautiful views of lower lake Garda shimmering in the sun.
At the next fork in the path, experienced hikers who are not afraid of heights can take the Senter de la Costa n. 422A, which branches off to the left and is secured with a few holding ropes. In front of the picturesque backdrop of the deep blue lake Garda, it stretches along the edge of the rock walls and leads over some exposed passages.
Less sure-footed hikers, meanwhile, should stick to the wide hiking trail no . 422B, which winds its way in numerous switchbacks through a picturesque beech forest.
Both paths lead to the dreamy Punta Larici, where a breathtakingly beautiful panorama unfolds - no wonder that the rocky outcrop, which drops about 900 meters, is one of the most popular hiking destinations and photo motifs on lake Garda.
The enjoyment of this dreamy view is followed by the culinary one: from Punta Larici, trail no. 422B leads down to the 890 m high Bocca Larici, where a hiking sign points out the barely ten-minute ascent to Malga Palaer mountain hut. A little later, in the midst of an idyllic mountain meadow, it invites you to take a refreshing break.
The way back from Malga Palaer is on the wide hiking trail no. 422B.

A famous poet as a guest in Pregasina near Riva del Garda
The dreamy village of Pregasina, which today has only about 50 inhabitants, once enchanted the Austria writer and painter Adalbert Stifter (1805-1868). He wrote about the small village: "I was moved and bowed in my deepest heart. The silence around me put everything into the distance and made me small and lost."
