Ütia Vaciara mountain hut hike Passo delle Erbe

The Vaciara moutain hut can be reached from Longiaru, from Val Badia valley, on the Putia circuit or on the direct route from the Passo delle Erbe pass described here. Situated at the foot of the Sass de Putia, it combines culinary delights with a fantastically beautiful panorama.

The panoramic hike to the Vaciara hut (Ütia Vaciara) starts at the toll hiking parking lot on the Passo delle Erbe.

At the car park the wide hiking trail no. 8A branches off in the direction of the Vaciara moutain hut. Under the spell of the steep rock faces of the majestic Sass de Putia, it leads on an easy ascent through the gently undulating meadows, which are rich in views.

A little later, at the popular Monte de Fornella mountain hut, hiking trail no. 8B branches off. It winds in a hardly noticeable up and down through the meadows at the foot of the Sass de Putia, which are rich in flowers and partly covered with boulders, bushes and aromatic scented Pinus cembra pines.

Finally, with a view of the Val Pusteria valley mountains, the inviting Göma moutain hut tempts you to take an enjoyable break before the hike climbs somewhat steeper for the first time to the Gömajoch pass.

On the 2,100 m high pass, a picturesque view of the Val Badia valley Dolomites unfolds, of which the Monte Cavallo, the La Varella peak and the Puez stand out in particular.

Now the Vaciara moutain hut is not far away: in front of breathtaking mountain scenery it invites you to a delightful stop in the middle of the dreamy Prato del Putia meadows. The lovingly prepared, seductively fragrant delicacies probably conjure up a satisfied smile on the face of every hiker.

The fastest way back from the Vaciara moutain hut is the outward route. However, those who wish can also keep to the route and return to the starting point on the circular hike at the base of the Putia.
