Route description Piz Sorega Pralongia moutain hut
The hike to the Pralongia hut starts at the valley station of the cable car Piz Sorega in San Cassiano, with which you can easily and comfortably float up to the Piz Sorega, which is about 400 meters higher.
From the mountian station the wide hiking trail no. 21A stretches in front of the enchanting backdrop of the surrounding Dolomites through the gently undulating mountain meadows to the nearby Bioch moutain hut, which invites you after a few minutes of hiking.
At the Bioch moutain hut, hiking trail no. 23A branches off in the direction of Pralongia. It winds through the picturesque mountain meadows, which turn into a colorful sea of flowers in early summer. Along the way, information boards provide interesting insights into the majestic rocky realm of the Dolomites towering all around.
At the next fork in the trail, trail no. 23 branches off upwards and leads to the Pralongia moutain hut, which is now close by and whose cozy stone pine parlor and sun-warmed panoramic terrace invite you to a culinary journey of enjoyment through the regional, mediterranean-refined cuisine .
From the Pralongia moutain hut you hike back to the last fork in the trail, where this time you take hiking trail no. 22. It descends against the backdrop of the majestic Fanes mountain peaks to the popular Saraghes moutain hut, from where it leads back through woods and meadows to the starting point at San Cassiano.
