Tre Cime di Lavaredo Misurina Hike

The Rifugio Auronzo mountain hut at the foot of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo is not only reached via the toll road. From lake Antorno a beautiful hiking trail leads to this popular mountain inn in the dolomites.

Route description Auronzo mountain hut

The hike to the Rifugio Auronzo mountain hut begins at the secluded lake Antorno near Misurina, framed by dark trees and white gravel.

On the northern shore of the small mountain lake, an almost flat hiking trail through the woods and meadows branches off to the right, from which, just before the tollbooth of the mountain road, the initially wide hiking trail no. 101 branches off in the direction of the Rifugio Auronzo mountain hut.

After crossing a small stream, it climbs in front of the imposing backdrop of the world-famous Tre Cime di Lavaredo in the partly quite steep, sun-exposed ascent through the sparse forest and later over white gravel, stone and meadow slopes towards the rifugio Auronzo mountain hut. On the way it crosses twice the busy mountain road.

After about 400 meters of ascent, you reach the popular rifugio Auronzo mountain hut, framed by the imposing north face of the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, which, in addition to the tasty dishes, also offers picturesque views of the towering dolomites all around and of the lower-lying Auronzo di Cadore.

The way back from the rifugio Auronzo mountain hut follows the already known ascent path, now facing the graceful Cadini di Misurina.
