From the Seceda cable car a beautiful hike leads through the forcella Pana to the popular Brogles mountain hut at the foot of the Val di Funes Geisler peaks.
Route description Seceda Brogles mountain hut
The hike to the Brogles mountain hut starts at the valley station of the Seceda cable car in Ortisei, with which you can easily and comfortably float up to the panoramic Seceda.
Once at the top, you can reach its graceful summit cross in just a few minutes on foot, next to which a breathtakingly beautiful panoramic view unfolds. A panoramic panel provides information about the countless peaks towering all around, including the Puez group, the Sella group, the Sassolungo and the Sciliar. The most popular photo motifs, however, are undoubtedly the Odle peaks towering to the side, which we first approach on the almost flat hiking trail no. 6.
A little later, the most demanding part of the hike begins: the steep, serpentine descent through the rugged, partly scree-laden forcella Pana on hiking trail no. 6A, which demands surefootedness from the hikers. The trickiest passages are secured with ropes and wooden planks.
After the sometimes quite steep descent, you reach a fork in the road where the gentle hiking trail no. 35 branches off to the left to the Brogles mountain hut. It leads through shady woods and meadows to the picturesquely situated Brogles mountain hut. In the midst of flowery meadows, at the foot of the Funes valley Odle peaks and the Seceda, it invites you to enjoy a refreshing stop.
Behind the Brogles mountain hut the lovingly laid out hiking trail no. 5 branches off. It first climbs up to the nearby Brogles pass, from where it descends through picturesque alpine meadows and shady wooded areas to Ortisei.
Hiking tips Brogles mountain hut
As an alternative to the suggested hiking route, you can also hike to the Brogles mountain hut from Val di Funes valley, from Ortisei or from the mountain station of the Rasciesa cable car. No less recommendable is the crossing from Rasciesa to Val di Funes valley via the Brogles mountain hut.
