Route description Rasciesa Brogles mountain hut
The hike to the rifugio malga Brogles mountain hut starts in Ortisei in val Gardena valley. With the modern panorama funicular Rasciesa you first go up to the Rasciesa mountain station, which is about 800 m higher.
From the mountain station, the flagstone path no. 35A, lined with alpine pines, rhododendrons and delicate mountain flowers, winds its way to the inviting Rasciesa mountain hut, which , against the breathtaking backdrop of the Sella massif, the Sasso Piatto and Sasso Lungo, invites you to take a pleasurable break.
From the popular mountain hut, hiking trail no. 35 gently climbs to the shingle-covered Santa Croce Chapel from the 18th century and the towering summit of the Rasciesa di Fuori behind it. A little later, next to its skillfully carved summit cross, an unforgettably beautiful view of the val d'Isarco valley, the graceful Geisler peaks, the imposing Sella massif, the snow-covered Marmolada and the striking Sassolungo unfolds.
Following successively path numbers 10, 31 and 35 in the direction of the rifugio malga Brogles mountain hut, the path leads in gentle ups and downs through the alpine meadows rich in views to the passo di Brogles, which connects Rasciesa di Dentro with the val di Funes valley.
