The leisurely hike "Giro del Crero" leads from Torri del Benaco on the eastern shore of Lake Garda past rural villages to the rock carvings at Crero.

The starting point is the spacious car park next to the Scaliger castle on the southern edge of the harbor community of Torri del Benaco. Walking through the historic center of the village, you reach the church of San Pietro e Paolo. Behind the church stretches the Gardesana main road, which you follow northward for a short distance. Soon, on the opposite side of the road, a footpath surrounded by high stone walls branches off.

Always following the signs for the "Giro del Crero", the path leads to Fornare on asphalted roads. Here it joins a path lined with olive groves, low woods and shrubs, which offers beautiful views of Lake Garda.

Beyond the hamlet of Prandine, the path then winds leisurely through a sparse grove. Finally, it turns into a road that leads directly to Crero. Here it is worth taking a short detour to the church of San Siro, from where you can enjoy a picturesque view of northern Lake Garda and Monte Brione.

From Crero follow the signs for Albisano or "Roccia dei graffiti". These are glacier striations from the last ice age, on whose smooth surface people from various epochs have left drawings. Thus, in addition to prehistoric signs, there are also medieval signs such as the three "stick figures" or the so-called "nine men's morris", which symbolized the journey to the Holy Land during the Crusades.

On the way back from the Giro del Crero, continue along hiking trail no. 40, which leads to Albisano. At the end of the village a sign with the inscription "Torri" shows the way back to the starting point in Torri del Benaco.
