Annatal Ortisei hike
Hiking with children through the Annatal in val Gardena valley to the Café Restaurant Annatal
The Annatal in val Gardena valley is not only popular with families with children. Along the one and a half kilometer long path near Ortisei you will find numerous playgrounds, benches, hammocks, a Kneipp facility and refreshment stops.
Route description Annatal val Gardena valley
The walk through the Annatal begins at the parish church in Ortisei.
Next to the church a brown hiking sign shows the way into the Annatal. It first leads to the nearby cable car station of Seceda, next to which a covered wooden bridge crosses the Annabach stream into the valley of the same name.
Now the hike turns into a gentle forest path, along which benches, hammocks and a Kneipp facility invite you to take a dip, enjoy and linger. The large playground is particularly popular, however, where children can let off steam to their heart's content on the slides, swings, balancing and climbing frames. Parents, meanwhile, can sit back comfortably on one of the many benches and watch the little ones play happily.
Behind the playground, the path winds its way to the nearby Puali hut and the Annatal café-restaurant behind it. Both invite you to take a break and also offer a lawn for sunbathing, various play facilities and a sun terrace.
The way back is the same as on the way there.
